The Green Climate Fund has set the timeline for its the 20th and 21st Board meetings, which will be held in Songdo, Republic of Korea and in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain. During the meeting 24 Board members plan to discuss the project documents and take a decision on funding proposals aimed at mitigation the negative effects of climate change through reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adaptation to climate change.

The 20th GCF Board meeting will be held from 1-4 July 2018, and the key dates are as following:

2 March 2018 – Disclosure of ESS reports for categories A and I-1 projects.
26 February 2018 – Deadline to submit funding proposals to GCF for public sector.
30 March 2018 – Deadline to submit funding proposals to GCF for private sector.
24 April 2018 – Submission to independent Technical Advisory Panel (iTAP).
13-18 May 2018 – iTAP meeting.
1 June 2018 – Disclosure of ESS reports for categories B and I-2 projects.
8 June 2018 – Publishing deadline.
1-4 July 2018 – B.20

The 21st GCF Board meeting will tentatively be held on 23-26 October 2018. Indicative timeline for B.21 please see below:

22 June 2018 – Disclosure of ESS reports for categories A and I-1 projects.
25 June 2018 – Deadline to submit funding proposals to GCF for public sector.
20 July 2018 – Deadline to submit funding proposals to GCF for private sector.
22 August 2018 – Submission to the independent Technical Advisory Panel (iTAP).
10-14 September – iTAP meeting
21 September 2018 – Disclosure of ESS reports for categories B and I-2.
2 October 2018 – Publishing deadline.
23-26 October 2018 – (Tentative) B.21
